As a rule, I can’t follow a recipe. It’s a thing.
This isn’t a bad thing, it’s just what I do. My coworkers refer to it as “Kristinizing” a recipe. Hence the blog name.
I’m not super fancy, I’m just a mom feeding a family. Sometimes, I adjust recipes because I immediately see a way to improve something. Sometimes, it’s to adjust to my family’s taste buds. Sometimes, it’s to make a recipe more inline with the food requirements of my family (we have a family member with a chronic illness that requires carb counting). Sometimes, it’s just because I wanna and I don’t like being told what to do.
Years ago, when I was a stay a home mom, I kept a food blog with a friend. As time progressed, and I re-entered the work world, and we moved to a bigger city, it fell by the wayside.
I’ve been encourage to get back into blogging again. So here goes. Join me and discover how I take recipes and make them my own.
